Meatballs with Omnivore Salt & Sicilia Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 tbsp diced garlic
- 1 cup chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp plus 2 tsp Omnivore Salt
- ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp Omnivore Sicilia Sauce
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup milk
- (2) 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup of fresh basil leaves, tightly packed

Instructions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large mixing bowl, add the beef, pork, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, parsley, 1 tbsp of Omnivore Salt, ¼ cup of Omnivore Sicilia Sauce and 2 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil and mix together by hand.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and milk. Add the ricotta mixture to the meat mixture and mix with your hands until combined.

4. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed tomatoes and the 2 tbsp of Omnivore Sicilia Sauce and 2 tsp of Omnivore Salt.
5. Start forming the meat mixture into 1 ½ in. size meatballs and place them in a large baking dish. Cover with the sauce and place in the oven, uncovered, and bake for 1 hour. Take the pan from the oven, add the basil leaves and gently stir them into the meatballs. Serve with fresh or dry spaghetti.
